The Interactive Museum of Economics – MIDE – is far more than a traditional museum. It is an interactive venue in the historic centre of Mexico City where visitors can explore, question and understand the economy. Exhibitions, games, workshops and digital activities demonstrate how economic interrelationships influence our everyday lives and our future.
The focus is on everyday decisions – from saving and consumption to recycling and entrepreneurial activity. MIDE teaches young people, families and teachers in particular how each individual can contribute to a fairer and more sustainable society.
Four PHOS 85 outdoor units are being used to project the two-colour MIDE logo onto walls and floors around the museum. The impact on the historic building structure is minimal and is limited to the installation of the Gobo projectors.
