Project Description

The pavilion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has become a landmark of Expo 2020 in Dubai. The overhanging, cantilevered glass facade creates a shaded, inviting space in front of the entrance and fascinates visitors with the integrated audiovisual system. The indoor exhibition represents the people, nature, history and future visions of the Kingdom using the latest interactive technologies. At the end of the visit, an underground garden with commercial and gastronomic facilities awaits the visitors. There, daylight enters through planted light shafts and forms shadows of vegetation on the ground. In the evening hours, daylight is replaced by a projection of plant motifs using numerous PHOS recessed spotlights.
