With a diverse portfolio of 37 international brands and ambitious sustainability goals, L’Oréal is actively committed to shaping the future of beauty and establishing itself as a leading beauty tech company. In 2023, the Group generated global sales of over 41 billion euros.
L’Oréal is also a leader in the cosmetics market in Germany. The company employs around 3,000 people in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). In Germany, L’Oréal has four sites, including a production facility in Karlsruhe. Around one million hair, skin and sun care products are manufactured there every day for export to a total of 35 countries.
Seven PHOS 45 projectors are used in the Karlsruhe factory as part of the digital anti-collision system (AME Amesphere). Controlled by the anti-collision system, these project safety warnings for pedestrians. Anyone without a transponder is automatically denied access to the goods entrance by keeping the high-speed door locked. At the same time, a projection appears prohibiting access and indicating that a transponder must be worn in the monitored zone. If an employee with a transponder enters the anti-collision zone, a blue arrow indicates that access is permitted. The projection motifs were calibrated before installation in order to compensate for perspective distortions (keystone correction).
